Alumni Lancie Melson was the official winner of the Model G Tractor Raffel in August. After several conversations with Lancie, he decided to generously give the tractor back to the chapter. He was quoted saying that he wanted the the chapter to do whatever they could to generate the most funds. So in October we went to visit him in Florence, AL. We presented him with a photo of all the alumni at the 50th and a plaque expressing our gratitude for the gift. So now we as a chapter have decided to sell the tractor. We are at an exciting time in our Chapters History. We are finally ready to begin looking toward the Future of FarmHouse. The Chapter decided back in the Spring of 08' that it needed to begin saving, so that we would be ready when an opportunity presented itself. Fortunately we had an alumnus that made all this possible, and through his gift we will hope to increase what we have been given. So we ask that you, whoever you may be, and however you may be affliliated with us, that you help us with our commitment to give to the future of our organization. I know you may ask, " What can I do with a tractor?", But please dont let this stop you from owning a piece of Agricultural History. Thank you and we hope to hear from you soon!
